# Preferences

Personal preferences control how Invert appears to you without changing other members' settings. Open **Settings → Preferences** to manage them.

## Appearance

Choose **Light**, **Dark**, or **System** under **Theme**; System follows your device's appearance setting.

Under **Language**, select English, Deutsch, or Français, or choose **Organization default** to follow your workspace's language. Changing the language saves your preference and reloads the app.

## Workspace default language

Admins set **Default language** under **Settings → General**. It applies to members who have not chosen their own language; a personal language preference takes priority.
