# Edit Reports with Assist

Assist can now edit Reports directly. From inside a report — or via `@`-mention from any Assist conversation — ask for a change in chat, and Assist updates the existing blocks in place. Rewrite a paragraph, change the y-axis on a plot, add another run to a comparison.

**Review before you commit**

Edits land as a draft, and you're switched automatically into a review view: accept and reject controls at the top, modified blocks highlighted in blue, new blocks in green. Toggle between draft and original to compare. For code and plot edits where the diff isn't easy to eyeball, Assist describes the change in plain language.

**Iterate without losing the original**

Not quite right? Ask Assist for another pass — the preview updates in place. Then accept if you're happy or reject if you'd rather start over. We provide you with full control over the edits and revisions before saving any changes.
