# Ingestion Preview: See Your Data Before It Lands

Importing a file into Invert turns raw rows and columns into structured runs, properties, time series, events, and lineage. The new **preview** step lets you see exactly how that mapping resolved before the data commits — rendered in the same views you use everywhere else in Invert.

**What you can see**

- **Run table for properties.** Every mapped column is visible, scrollable record by record.
- **Line charts for time series.** Spot a stuck sensor or an off trace before it's in your dataset.
- **Event table for events, lineage view for material flow.**
- **Summary panel alongside the preview.** Record count, mapped parameters, date range, and warnings for unmapped columns or type mismatches.
